Job summary

A leading social enterprise in the UK is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across all financial aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in financial management, capable of overseeing finance operations and leading a small team. You will contribute to the organization’s growth in a supportive environment focused on creativity and inclusivity. Experience in the creative industries is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior financial leadership experience.
• Proven experience at senior management level including team leadership.
• Experience within arts, cultural, or creative industries is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare management information for the Board and SMT.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including payroll and VAT.
• Manage the annual audit process and compliance requirements.
• Develop systems for accurate financial reporting.
• Support business initiatives with financial modelling.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Act as Data Protection Officer ensuring GDPR compliance.
