Main Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead all financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for the European region.
  • Fulfil a key role in the European leadership team, contributing to business planning, investment decisions, and operational strategy.
  • Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and advise on corrective actions to support business goals.

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with local statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit standards, and financial regulations in all European jurisdictions.
  • Manage statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
  • Work with HQ finance teams to ensure seamless consolidation and global reporting alignment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines on routine and ad hoc requests.

Business Partnering & Operational Support

  • Partner with Operations, Sales, HR, and Procurement functions to provide financial insights and drive performance improvements.
  • Support plant-level teams in cost accounting, margin analysis, and working capital management.
  • Monitor and reporting out the on KPIs and provide actionable insight to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Create and present monthly business reviews to senior management.
  • Lead and develop a regional finance team, including country controllers and accountants
  • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive process harmonization and automation across the region to increase efficiency.
  • Support ERP optimization and integration initiatives in collaboration with IT and HQ finance teams.
  • Champion best practices in internal controls and financial governance

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in senior finance roles, within a US multinational manufacturing business.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, local European accounting standards, and tax compliance.
  • Experience working within multi-country operations and teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to lead financial strategy, business partnering, and process improvement.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., AX Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Willingness to travel across European sites as needed
