UK Islamic Mission (UKIM) in Oldham is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the full finance function from the European Islamic Centre. This permanent senior role (option of a two-year fixed-term) works 37.5 hours weekly and reports to the Executive Director.

You will manage a team of four, ensure GAAP/SORP compliance, and drive financial reporting across head office, departments, and branches. You will also prepare statutory accounts, monthly management accounts, and provide strategic financial

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience.
• Experience leading finance in a charity or multi-site setting.
• Strong knowledge of Charity SORP, GAAP, VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, Gift Aid.
• Experience with modern accounting/ERP systems; iPlicit preferred.
• Ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• People management experience with coaching and development.
• High integrity and collaborative approach.

Aufgaben

• Lead and oversee the complete finance function across head office and branches.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Generate monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Manage a team of four finance staff.
• Ensure compliance with Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC.
• Monitor cash flow and banking relationships; provide treasury advice.
• Oversee payroll, PAYE, and pension contributions.
• Develop financial models to support strategic planning and bids.
• Champion modern cloud accounting systems (including iPlicit).
• Build financial capability and standards across departments.
