Job summary

UK Islamic Mission (UKIM) in Oldham invites applications for a Head of Finance to lead the entire finance function from the Central Office. This permanent role (2-year fixed-term option) is 37.5 hours per week, reporting to the Executive Director and participating in the Senior Management Team and Board by invitation for finance matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Experience leading finance in a charity or multi-site setting.
• Strong knowledge of Charity SORP, GAAP, VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, Gift Aid, charity law.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete finance function across head office, departments and branches.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Produce monthly management accounts, variance analyses and commentary.
• Supervise a team of four finance staff and external advisers.
• Develop financial controls and policies across the organisation.
