Talentedge is pleased to be exclusively partnering with an international Data Services scaleup on their London-based Finance Director opportunity. The business continues to set industry standards by diversifying and expanding its product and service portfolio as well as its global reach.

As the #1 in finance, you will partner closely with the CEO / Founder on driving commercial initiatives and strategies, ensuring that finance acts as a business partnering function to the wider organisation and continues to support global expansion (new products & geographies).

You’ll be ideal for this role if you have a strong passion for technology, love startups, and want a broad finance role covering commercial finance, accounting, and project work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Improve and take ownership of the finance infrastructure, ensuring all processes and controls are scalable and fully automated
• Own the day-to-day finance function, including monthly Board pack preparation, statutory reporting, tax work, and transactional finance (AP / AR, etc.)
• Lead on commercial initiatives alongside the CEO, including future fundraising
• Create business cases for new product launches and geographical expansion
• Business partner cross-functionally
• Analyze and report on company-wide financial and non-financial KPIs
• Utilize Xero & its ecosystem of apps
• Mentor an ambitious and progressive finance team of 3 people, with plans to grow further

Profile:

• Qualified accountant with a strong academic background
• Experience in high-growth scaleups (Series A onwards), involved in business transactions such as fundraising, M&A, new product launches, and geographical expansion
• Advanced financial modelling, BI, and data visualization tools experience
• Analytical, mathematical, and data-driven approach
• Effective communicator, comfortable working with teams across the business
• Ambitious, driven, and detail-oriented; someone trusted to deliver
