Job summary

Supersede Recruitment Partners Ltd. is seeking a Finance Director for a high‑growth international manufacturing business based in Cornwall.

This role will suit an experienced Finance Manager, Finance Director or Finance Lead ready to take full ownership of the finance function and act as strategic partner to senior leadership. Key responsibilities include monthly accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and driving governance and improvements across finance systems.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant required.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance function end-to-end as Finance Director.
• Deliver monthly management accounts, financial reporting and analysis.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Partner with senior leadership and international stakeholders.
• Ensure strong controls, governance and compliance.
• Manage year-end, audit and statutory reporting.
• Drive improvements in finance systems, processes and reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager, Finance Director, or Finance Lead to join a niche organisation specialising in engineered, ergonomically designed products with a global customer base.

The Role

This Finance Director position will see you take full ownership of the finance function, operating as both a strategic partner and hands‑on lead within a growing international business.

Key responsibilities include

• Full responsibility for the finance function as Finance Manager / Finance Director


• Delivery of monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and analysis


• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning


• Acting as a business partner to senior leadership and international stakeholders


• Ensuring strong financial controls, governance, and compliance


• Managing year-end processes, audit, and statutory reporting

The Candidate - Finance Manager / Finance Director

We are looking for a high‑calibre qualified accountant ready to step into a Finance Manager or Finance Director role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)


• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Finance Director


• Strong background in manufacturing, engineering, or product‑based businesses


• Demonstrable experience in financial leadership, reporting, and business partnering


• Ability to operate in an interim / contract finance role with immediate impact


• Experience implementing and modifying ERP


• Experience within international or multi‑entity environments is highly desirable
