SF Partners is assisting a high-growth business in Solihull to appoint a Finance Director. You will lead the core finance function, manage an established team, and report directly to the CFO.

The role focuses on Financial Control, Billing & AR and Finance Systems, driving improvements, automation and best practice as the business scales, with a clear path to more senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in PE-backed, technology or high-growth environments is helpful but not essential.
• Experience in a reasonably scaled business with strong controls, systems and processes.
• Ability to lead from the front while still engaging in detail when needed.

Finance Director - High Growth Business

Solihull / £120,000 - £150,000 + Bonus

SF Executive are working exclusively with a high-growth business to recruit a Finance Director.

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans over the next three years. Reporting directly into the CFO, you will take responsibility for the core finance function and lead an established team.

There has already been significant investment into the finance team and systems, so this isn't about coming into a broken function. The focus is around taking what is already there and making sure Finance is set up properly for the next stage of growth.

There will be three main areas of focus within the role: Financial Control, Billing & AR and Finance Systems. We are looking for somebody who can lead from the front across these areas, improve processes and controls, drive further automation and really look at what best practice should be as the business continues to grow.

We are open-minded on background. You could already be a Finance Director, or you could be a strong Group Financial Controller or Head of Finance who is ready to make the next step.

Experience within a PE-backed, technology or high-growth business would be helpful, but it isn't essential. More important is that you have worked within a business of reasonable scale, understand what a good finance function looks like and can demonstrate where you have improved controls, systems and processes.

We are looking for somebody ambitious, confident and hands-on who can lead a team but is still happy to get into the detail when needed. This could be a great opportunity for somebody who ultimately wants to become a CFO.

The role is based in Solihull and you will need to be in the office three days a week.
