Job summary

Pratap Partnership in Coventry is seeking a Finance Director to lead the UK & Ireland finance function reporting to the Managing Director. The role combines leadership with commercial insight to support rapid growth in an international group.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and governance while partnering with senior leaders on strategy, pricing and investment decisions. Multisite, manufacturing or industrial experience is advantageous.

Job description

We are working exclusively with an international, high-growth business to appoint a Finance Director.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the wider international Group Finance function, this is a broad and commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for the complete Finance function across the UK & Ireland.

Finance Director - Coventry - £95,000 - £100,000p/a + Bonus - the role will be predominantly site-based.

The Finance Director will play a key role within the senior leadership team, providing financial leadership, commercial insight and strategic support as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and strengthen the UK & Ireland Finance team
• Partner with the Managing Director and senior leadership team on strategy, performance and growth
• Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
• Provide commercial insight across revenue, margins, pricing, profitability and investment decisions
• Lead cash flow, working capital, credit and inventory management
• Maintain a strong financial control, governance and compliance environment
• Drive improvements across finance processes, systems, reporting and automation
• Manage relationships with Group Finance, auditors, advisers and other key stakeholders
• Ensure Finance operates as both a robust control function and a genuine commercial business partner

About you

We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong senior finance experience and the credibility to operate as a key partner to the Managing Director.

You will ideally have experience within an international, multi-site, manufacturing, distribution or industrial environment, although sector experience is not essential. Strong commercial finance, business partnering, financial controls and team leadership experience are important.

The role would suit an established Finance Director looking for a broader opportunity but could equally suit an ambitious Financial Controller or Finance Manager ready to take full ownership of a Finance function and step into an FD position.
