Job description

Equifind have recently partnered with a fast paced Real Estate PE firm with aspirations of hitting the £1Bn mark but Q1 next year within only two years since inception to hire a Finance Director to report in to the two co-founders.

The firm is seeking someone currently as an ambitious FC who wants to step up to FD role in a six person firm with huge growth potential. Office based 5 days a week.

The Role:

Reporting into the Partners of this fast paced Real Estate Fund, you will cover the following:-

  • Management of two members of staff (One permanent and one interim)
  • Oversight of all bookkeeping, rent collection, payment runs and payroll
  • Administration of bank accounts, entity formation
  • Production of management accounts, budgeting and variance analysis. Monitoring the business financial performance and KPIs
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and performance metrics, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Overseeing financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and the investments / funds.
  • Developing and implementing robust cost reporting and forecasting processes for the developments.
  • Developing and implementing financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency across the organisation.
  • Overseeing the Investor reporting process and ensuring reports are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Producing all CAPEX Reporting, cash flow projections
  • All statutory tax & VAT filings and compliance matters including Partner personal and company
  • Working with the Investment team and Partners on sales and acquisitions, analysis and due diligence
  • Oversight of external auditors, lawyers and other service providers
  • Ah hoc projects
Application Criteria:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) - Ideally with a minimum of 10 years experience
  • Significant real estate fund or PE experience.
  • Able to play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of projects, optimising capital structures
  • Commercially astute and able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial streak. Willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Innovative and forward thinking.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Operating in a mind-set of continuous improvement.
Compensation:
  • Base salary of £100,000-120,000 (DOE)
