Finance Director, c£55K + exceptional benefits Hereford

With a unique, long-established, high-profile and highly regarded charitable organisation. This role will appeal to someone who enjoys variety, working with a broad range of talented individuals across a diverse business. The Finance Director will be responsible for specific projects in line with the developing needs of the organisation. A brief outline of the main duties include:-

Outline Responsibiliites Finance Director

  • Manage the finance team of five
  • Deliver annual budget, and re-forecasts
  • Monthly management accounts and balance sheets, appropriate reporting and KPIs
  • Oversee annual accounts and VAT returns
  • Lead the preparation for the annual independent audit
  • Ensure financial and business matters are handled in a compliant manner
  • Lead a strategically orientated service that supports the finance and wider team in delivery of the organisation objectives
  • Report on all finance related matters, making an effective and strategic contribution to financial decision making
  • Lead and maintain a culture of strong financial accountability across the organisation
  • Attend meetings of the governance committees, work with chairs in the production of committee reports

Applicant Requirements Finance Director

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Ideally having worked in the charity sector, or similar highly regulated sector
  • Understanding of advanced and fund accounting, current legislation and tax planning
  • Confident leader, able to work independently and manage the finance team

Package

Salary circa £55,000; pension (employer contribution 8%), 25 days leave + statutory; free parking; 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday; office based with some flexible working from home; relocation package in appropriate circumstances.
