Finance Director

We are seeking a Finance Director with a proven track record in the construction industry to oversee our financial operations and guide our financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, with a strategic mindset and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance, proposing action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
  • Manage the finance department, setting goals and objectives, and designing a framework for these to be met.
  • Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments.
  • Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and reporting against the same.
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.
  • Manage team members, helping to develop their skills and encouraging growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, specifically within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
  • Professional qualification such as CIMA/ACA/ACCA or similar will be considered a plus.
