Finance Director

My client, a leading privately-owned UK property business, is looking to hire an ambitious and highly commercial Finance Director.

What you'll do:

1. Provide timely, commercially focused management information and analysis
2. Assume day-to-day responsibility for operational financial management, financial systems and controls, cash flow management and forecasting, strategic and operational planning
3. Monitor business performance and perform continuous review of internal controls
4. Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers and other advisors
5. Play a key role in the development and delivery of Company strategy
6. Review and negotiate customer and supplier agreements
7. Manage all insurance and property matters
8. Direct, manage and develop a small finance team

1. Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
2. Experience directing a finance function in a privately owned independent business
3. Experience within property management, construction, manufacturing or similar industry environment
4. Cash and working capital management experience
5. Technical accounting skills including job/service costing/pricing
6. Involvement in developing/delivering financial models
7. Proven negotiation skills
8. Experience evaluating IT systems/implementing ERP systems
9. Proven team leadership skills
