Overview

Part-Time Finance Director | On-site | Flexible Hours

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to join our client's team on a part-time basis. This is an on-site role with flexible working hours, offering the right candidate the opportunity to play a key leadership role while maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall financial strategy, planning, and analysis for the business
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Produce and present timely, insightful management reports
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Monitor cashflow, working capital, and overall financial performance
  • Advise the board on financial risk and opportunity
  • Strengthen financial controls, systems, and compliance
  • Develop and mentor a small finance team as required
  • Contribute to operational decision-making and business improvement
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role (Finance Director, Financial Controller, or similar)
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
  • Confident in using financial systems and Excel
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in a growing business environment preferred
  • Sector experience in winter maintenance or facilities management is a plus
  • ACCA, CIMA (part or fully qualified), or equivalent senior finance qualifications
