Job summary

Reed in London is seeking a Finance Data Migration Assistant to support the migration of financial data into the Maconomy ERP during a major systems transformation. This role suits a part-qualified accountant or finance professional looking to gain hands-on implementation experience.

Reporting to the Head of Accounts, you will extract, cleanse and reconcile data, prepare import files and assist with day-to-day finance tasks, balancing systems exposure with practical accounting work.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in finance, accounts or bookkeeping
• AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets
• Solid understanding of ledgers, payables, receivables and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work independently and manage priorities
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Extract, prepare and cleanse financial data for migration.
• Standardise formats, remove duplicates and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Prepare Excel import files and upload information into Maconomy.
• Reconcile balances between old and new systems.
• Investigate discrepancies and perform validation checks.
• Support accounts payable/receivable and general ledger activities.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting tasks.
