Title: Finance & Data Analyst

Location: Piccadilly Circus – 3 days a week in office

The Opportunity:

Finatal is currently retained on a search for a Finance and Data Analyst for a high-growth, private equity-backed hospitality business. This role will work closely with the CFO and Head of Finance, blending financial insight with technical capability to improve reporting, automation, and decision-making.

The Role:

In this role, you will support the CFO and Head of Finance with advanced data analysis, insights, and data-driven decision-making.

• Optimize, automate, and enhance financial reporting processes, P&L, and develop finance models for real-time insights.
• Create and maintain dashboards using Power BI for executive use.
• Maintain SQL databases and ETL processes to ensure dataset integrity.
• Analyze large volumes of finance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Facilitate operational budgets and distribute to stakeholders, uploading to systems.
• Maintain daily sales reports, update weekly trade packs, and prepare monthly board packs with insights.
• Conduct financial analyses such as menu, cost, and promotional analyses.
• Support the finance team with data spreadsheets, TM1 reports, and Sage integration.

The Requirements:

• Proven experience working with finance datasets, advanced Excel skills (Power Pivot, VBA), SQL Server, Power BI (DAX, Power Query).
• Strong stakeholder management, including working with C-level executives like the CFO.
• Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards for business and executive use with good data visualization practices.
• Understanding of financial accounting concepts, including P&L analysis, margins, and cost controls; relevant accounting qualifications (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or QBE with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in multi-site hospitality operations.
