Title: Finance & Data Analyst

Location: Piccadilly Circus – 3 days a week in office

The Opportunity:

Finatal is currently retained to search for a Finance and Data Analyst for a high-growth, private equity-backed hospitality business. This hire will work closely with the CFO and Head of Finance, blending financial insight with technical capability to improve reporting, automation, and commercial decision-making.

The Role:

In this role, you will act as a bridge between Finance and Data, supporting the CFO and Head of Finance with advanced data analysis, presenting insights, and driving data-led decision-making.

• Optimize, automate, and enhance financial reporting processes, P&L, and build key finance models for real-time insights.
• Build and maintain commercial dashboards using Power BI for executive use.
• Maintain SQL databases and ETL processes to ensure dataset integrity.
• Work with large volumes of finance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Facilitate and create operational budgets, distribute to stakeholders, and upload to systems.
• Maintain daily sales reports, update weekly trade packs, and monthly board packs, providing insights and analysis.
• Conduct commercial financial analysis, including menu, cost, and promotional analysis.
• Support the finance team with data-linked spreadsheets, TM1 reports, and Sage integration.

The Requirements:

• Proven experience working with finance teams and large datasets using advanced Excel (Power Pivot, VBA), SQL Server, Power BI (DAX, Power Query).
• Exceptional stakeholder management, often with executive stakeholders including the CFO.
• Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards for commercial and executive use, with strong data visualization skills.
• Understanding of financial accounting concepts, including P&L analysis, margins, and cost controls. Relevant accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or QBE (5+ years) preferred.
• Multi-site hospitality experience required.
