Job description

We’re seeking a skilled Finance Data Analyst to join our team. You’ll be responsible for extracting data from AXA systems, meticulously analysing and validating it to ensure its integrity and precision. Your ability to transform raw data into structured information will be crucial in enabling key stakeholders to gain valuable insights.

You’ll proactively identify areas for improvement in our analytical and reporting functions, continuously striving to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. If you’re looking for a role with lots of variety, have a keen eye for detail, and a desire to make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Ipswich office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Extract data from AXA systems, analysing and validating to guarantee integrity and precision of the data.
  • Transform raw data into accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand current status and act on key data insights.
  • Enhance analytical and reporting functions, identifying areas for improvement. Ensure data is complete, accurate, consistent and reliable through its lifecycle.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to specify data requirements.
  • Gather data from various sources including databases, application programming interfaces (API), third-party sources and ensure upkeep of databases and data tools.
  • Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support reporting.
  • Identify potential risks and support business in developing strategies and solutions to mitigate these.
  • Maintain a robust control environment including effective compliance with International Finance Corporation (IFC) controls and processes.

Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid foundation in figures, statistics and practical experience with statistical software.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.
  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Ability to break down complex data insights so they’re easily understood by a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of data analysis languages, such as SQL.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to meet tight deadlines.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
