Title: Finance & Data Analyst

Location: Piccadilly Circus – 3 days a week in office

The Opportunity:

Finatal is currently retained on a search for a Finance and Data Analyst for a high-growth, private equity-backed hospitality business. This hire will work closely with the CFO and Head of Finance, blending financial insight with technical skills to improve reporting, automation, and decision-making.

The Role:

In this role, you will support the CFO and Head of Finance with advanced data analysis, insights, and data-driven decisions.

• Optimize, automate, and improve financial reporting processes, P&L, and build finance models for real-time insights.
• Create and maintain dashboards using Power BI for executives.
• Manage SQL databases and ETL processes to ensure data integrity.
• Analyze large finance datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Facilitate operational budgets and distribute them to stakeholders.
• Maintain daily sales reports, update weekly trade packs, and prepare monthly board packs with insights.
• Conduct financial analyses, including menu, cost, and promotional analyses.
• Assist the finance team with data spreadsheets, TM1 reports, and Sage integration.

The Requirements:

• Experience working with finance teams and large datasets using Excel (Power Pivot, VBA), SQL Server, Power BI (DAX, Power Query).
• Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with senior stakeholders like the CFO.
• Proven ability to build Power BI dashboards for business and executive use, with good data visualization practices.
• Understanding of financial accounting concepts like P&L, margins, and costs; accounting qualifications (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or 5+ years experience (QBE) preferred.
• Experience in multi-site hospitality operations is required.
