About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our Corporate team and support the financial operations that underpin our growing business. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial processes running smoothly, working closely with our outsourced finance provider and colleagues across the business. In this role you will be responsible for everything from supporting month-end close and audit preparation to invoicing clients, managing supplier relationships and helping budget holders track their spending. What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with our outsourced finance provider on bookkeeping tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, VAT returns and monthly management accounts
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Maintain and manage the finance mailbox, responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the Head of FP&A with audit preparation and financial reporting
  • Help budget holders prepare and track budgets, highlighting variances and supporting re-forecasts

Debtor Management

  • Raise accurate and timely client invoices, working closely with client procurement teams
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, chasing outstanding invoices and reducing order-to-cash cycle time
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage the end-to-end invoice approval process
  • Review and approve payment runs in collaboration with our finance partner

Expense Management

  • Oversee employee expense submissions, ensuring compliance with policies and UK VAT rules
  • Review and process expense claims, following up on discrepancies and missing documentation

What we’re looking for

  • Part-qualified accountant (or working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (ideally with exposure to month-end processes)
  • Good working knowledge of VAT, financial reporting, and expense policies
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable engaging across teams
  • Enthusiastic about improving processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Discreet and professional when handling sensitive information

We embrace a hybrid working model, combining the best of remote and in-person collaboration. Our consulting team are together in person at least four days a week with flexibility to be in the office between our core hours of 10-4pm. Our default approach is to be in-person with our clients. In addition, up to four weeks a year each member of staff can work entirely virtually.
