Job description

FABULOUS OPPORTUNITY IN FINANCE!!

Finance Coordinator | £24,000–£25,000 | Sevenoaks

Finished sixth form or college and looking for your first step into finance?

This opportunity is a brilliant place to start!!

We’re recruiting for an established, successful business in Sevenoaks looking for a bright, organised and motivated Finance Coordinator to join their friendly finance team!

You don’t need years of experience. What matters is that you’re confident with numbers, comfortable speaking to people, keen to learn, and interested in building your financial experience.

Reporting directly to the Financial Supervisor, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across billing, invoicing, credit control and financial administration, giving you valuable insight into how a busy commercial finance team operates.

This isn’t a role where you’ll just be filing paperwork or watching from the sidelines. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities from the start, working with managers, clients and suppliers and learning how money moves through the business.

What you’ll be learning and doing:
  • Producing and sending client invoices
  • Helping price jobs for approval
  • Putting together a formal request for payment for work that has been completed, then submitting it to the client for approval
  • Requesting purchase orders
  • Chasing invoices and reports
  • Helping resolve billing queries with managers and clients
  • Holding meetings with managers to check on the status of jobs
  • Producing monthly statements
  • Posting cash on the accounting system
  • Using communication skills to chase up outstanding payments
  • Learning key finance systems and working towards monthly deadlines
Who we’re looking for:

This could be ideal if you’re a sixth form or college leaver who wants to start building a career in finance, billing or accountancy support.

You’ll need to be:
  • Confident with numbers
  • Organised and accurate
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone
  • A good communicator
  • Confident using Microsoft software
  • Keen to learn and take on more responsibility over time
  • Looking for a company where you can stay, develop and progress rather than just gain short-term experience
What’s in it for you:
  • £24,000–£25,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm with an hour lunch break
  • A fantastic working environment in a friendly and supportive team
  • Direct support from the Financial Supervisor
  • Real, hands‑on finance experience from day one
  • A professional environment where you can build confidence and develop your skills
  • The opportunity to grow with an established business and progress your career over time

If you’re ambitious, good with numbers and ready to turn your interest in finance into a career, we’d love to hear from you.
