Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Controller/Manager in Wood Green, North London to lead the finance function for a manufacturing business. The role requires strong UK accounting experience, UK VAT, payroll and ledger control, with responsibilities including monthly closing, budgeting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' accounting experience in the UK
• Experience in manufacturing or similar industries preferred
• AAT qualification or equivalent
• Live within a commutable distance to North London

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts (including US bank where applicable)
• Maintain UK sales ledger and UK invoicing
• Maintain US sales ledger with US agent information and FX for UK reporting
• Maintain purchase ledger including PO raising and supplier payments
• Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns
• Process monthly payroll journals and reconcile payroll records
• Organise annual stock takes and year-end valuation
• Set annual budgets and forecasts with monthly variance analysis
• Assist directors with process improvements and financial controls
• Provide information to external accountants for annual accounts preparation
