Job summary

Butler Rose is recruiting a Financial Controller in Exeter to lead and develop the finance team, manage day-to-day financial operations, and drive improvements in systems, processes and controls.

The role partners with senior leaders on budgeting, forecasting and strategic projects, with a generous benefits package including enhanced pension, private medical insurance and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical abilities.
• Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the finance function and team.
• Lead the implementation of new systems and processes across the business.
• Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Take ownership of budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
• Partner with senior leaders, providing financial guidance on key projects and initiatives.
• Support the business in achieving key performance and revenue objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic projects and continuous business improvement initiatives.
