Job summary

Eclipse Power Group is seeking a Finance Controller to lead Financial Reporting & Control and support the CFO in scaling the business. The role is based in London with a hybrid working pattern and some travel to Milton Keynes head office and sites as required.

You will manage a small team (4 direct reports) and drive governance, process improvements and timely financial insights across all entities. A strong technical accounting background and commercial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• ACA accountancy qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience in a commercial environment.
• Proven technical accounting skills across accounting cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to hit deadlines and deliver.
• Aptitude for building strong business relationships outside finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Financial Reporting & Control and Operational Finance functions.
• Support the CFO in delivering the finance mandate and scaling the business.
• Provide high-quality management reporting to the Board and stakeholders.
• Oversee monthly accounting and reporting for all Eclipse entities.
• Manage treasury, cash forecasting and credit controls to optimise working capital.
• Own monthly department performance reporting and business partnering with cost centre leads.
• Drive improvements in finance systems, processes, and controls to scale the business.
• Oversee annual statutory accounts preparation and tax/compliance activities.
• Maintain Corporate Risk Register and oversee monthly payroll cycle in collaboration with HR.
• Support growth and acquisition accounting as the business scales.
