About Our Client

Growing SME based in Woking. Please note this role is in-office five days a week.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of two Assistant Management Accountants, providing guidance and support.
• Manage the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close for the business and Group consolidation.
• Prepare and deliver monthly consolidated management accounts and KPI reports, highlighting financial performance and key metrics.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain fluctuations in sales, gross margin, and operating profit.
• Perform in-depth gross margin analysis across the Group, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor and report financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing early warnings of potential variances.
• Oversee the complete monthly balance sheet close, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Review and approve all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Support the Head of Finance in preparing year-end statutory accounts, tax submissions, and managing external audits.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, providing analytical insights.
• Lead or support ad hoc finance projects, such as system implementations and process improvements.
