Job description

Geomiq is a technology-driven manufacturing platform transforming how custom parts are made and delivered. With production hubs across the UK, EU, and Asia, we process hundreds of orders each month for innovative companies in aerospace, automotive, robotics, and beyond. Our team is lean, fast, and relentless in delivering operational excellence.

About the role:

We’re looking for a confident and proactive Finance Operations Associate to independently manage our day-to-day financial processes. This is a standalone role, reporting directly to the CEO, so you’ll need to be comfortable working autonomously, owning your responsibilities, and driving accuracy and efficiency without close supervision.

Ideal for someone with solid experience (3–5 years) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys handling high-volume transactions, supplier and client payments, reconciliations, and credit checks.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Transactions
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time
  • Monitor and manage invoices, payments, and collections
  • Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers
  • Support cash flow monitoring and ensure smooth payment cycles
  • Reconcile bank transactions, supplier statements, and internal systems regularly
  • Coordinate with external accountants on payroll matters across our 4 hubs (no direct payroll processing required)
Month-End & Reporting Support
  • Assist with month-end close tasks (accruals, journals, prepayments, etc.)
  • Help prepare basic financial reports (e.g. P&L summaries, balance sheet support)
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
Compliance & Admin
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, and other regulatory filings with guidance from accountants
  • Coordinate with external accounting partners for year-end processes
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, reporting directly to senior leadership (CEO)
  • Familiar with transactional finance operations (AP/AR, reconciliations, payment runs)
  • Hands-on experience with Xero, Dext, Pleo, or similar tools
  • Comfortable working in high-volume transaction environments
  • Good Excel or Google Sheets skill
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational habits
  • Clear and confident communicator
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in a startup, marketplace, or e-commerce business
  • Exposure to multi-entity environments or international payments
  • Familiarity with R&D tax credits or capitalisation of dev costs (not required)
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: We offer pay that reflects your skills and the value you bring.
  • Stocked Kitchen: Enjoy snacks, fresh fruit, and drinks all day.
  • 23 Days Annual Leave: Recharge with 23 days off, plus bank holidays.
  • Birthday Off: Take an extra day to celebrate your birthday.
  • Christmas Shutdown: Relax over the holidays with additional company-wide time off.
  • Pet-Friendly Office: Bring your dog to our pet-friendly workspace.
  • Team Events: Connect with colleagues through monthly team-building activities.
  • Career Growth: Benefit from our focus on internal promotions and development.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme: Save on commuting, reduce emissions, and stay active.
  • Expanding Perks: Look forward to more benefits as we grow
