Metyis is growing! We are looking for a Financial Controller with 3-5 years of experience to join our Enabling Functions team in Aldgate region, UK.

What you will do

As a Financial Controller at Metyis UK, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our UK entity, reporting directly to the Global Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing accounts, including sub-ledgers, for Metyis UK

  • Preparing monthly reporting packages and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Acting as the main point of contact for local tax and accounting consultants

  • Handling general accounting tasks

  • Invoicing clients using Xero

  • Processing expenses and supplier invoices

  • Performing project financial analysis

  • Managing payment runs

  • Overseeing payroll and pension schemes (e.g., Nest)

  • Supporting end-of-year processes, including P60 and P11D

  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget

  • Contributing to cashflow forecasting

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a motivated, pragmatic professional with the following qualifications and qualities:

  • A degree or relevant qualification in accounting or administration

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar accounting/bookkeeping role

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

  • A trustworthy and honest approach to handling confidential financial data

  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Experience with Xero is a plus, but not essential

  • You’re someone who is driven, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, international environment.
