A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance & Commercial Manager to join us at Jenno s Coffee House a thriving, family-owned business in Leicestershire. What you ll be doing as Finance & Commercial Manager:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the financial management and reporting of company finances including JCH Food Services (in-house bakery)
  • Responsibility for the production of company KPI reporting
  • Being actively involved in company procurement activities, productivity and efficiency analysis, product waste analysis, insurance renewals and supplier contracts
  • Learning all aspects of how a coffee house and bakery business runs and to be able to perform other roles if required in emergency situations

Prime Financial Activities:

  • Reconciling credit card takings to card processing companies reports
  • Ensuring that sales from the epos now till system imported in the Xero accounts package are accurate and complete
  • Processing monthly payroll journals
  • Reconciling cash balances for each site
  • Reconciling key balance sheet accounts
  • Maintaining fixed asset register
  • Ensuring that invoice postings into Xero are into the correct codes and are correctly entered regarding VAT
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly group VAT returns
  • Manual journal entries as required throughout the year
  • Year-end adjustments for accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc
  • Preparing and presenting year end accounts, balance sheet and tax computations
  • Preparing and presenting monthly P&Ls from Xero

At Jenno s Coffee House, we re looking for a Finance & Commercial Manager with:

  • AAT Level 4, or be a part or fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • A proven track record in financial management - experience within retail, hospitality, or food & beverage would be highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, can-do mindset and the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A desire to work closely with a passionate, family-run team and make a real impact in a values-led business.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Full time, permanent position (Monday Friday), site-based in Leicester (Carlton Park LE19 0AL). The role will involve visiting other sites in Leicester (fuel will be covered for travel between sites).
