Finance Change Specialist – Salary circa £50,000

18-month Fixed Term Contract

This is a great role for an experienced accountant with experience or a keen interest in change/transformation! If you have a drive for transforming processes, and strong analytical and problem solving skills, we would love to hear from you!

It’s an exciting time to join our team as we embark on a period of innovation and transformation in Aviva! We are looking for someone to join our Finance Change team to manage the change activities and deliver the new systems & processes into our Financial Control Environment for Aviva General Insurance.

A bit about the job:

Your role will need you to understand current Finance processes and ensure the new systems that are being delivered are fit for purpose.

Key to this role is collaboration with IT, Change and Finance BAU teams. You will be required to provide regular progress reporting and feedback to senior management. For that you will need to understand the BAU process and current pain points in enough detail to aid supporting the programme objectives to resolve these, and support BAU teams as the new systems/processes are embedded.

You will work with our Health Care business Finance stakeholders to ensure Finance requirements are understood and that the solution is fit for purpose to meet those requirements and that the financial accounting reporting & control is factored into the Finance elements of the build.

As part of this role, you will also:

  1. Own and deliver all assigned project activity to the highest standard and within designated timescales.
  2. Deliver efficient and effective User Acceptance Testing.
  3. Develop detailed knowledge of the new platform for finance functionality.
  4. Manage business readiness and training activities for a safe implementation into Finance.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  1. Qualified and/or experienced accountant with experience in a finance function or environment where business analysis skills are demonstrated, including risk & control awareness.
  2. Proven track record of delivering change in a dynamic environment including exposure to Agile methods is beneficial.
  3. Analytical, investigative and collaborative approach. Able to make initial assessments and recommendations which would be shared with the team and management.
  4. Strong stakeholder/relationship management & communication skills – with the ability to influence decision making and explain change to a range of stakeholders.
  5. Ability to identify & implement process efficiencies and improvements.

  1. Salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
