Finance Business Systems Analyst (Oracle)

12 month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity leave cover

Reporting to the Head of FBSS

York / Colchester / London / Lisbon – with Hybrid working

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems? We are looking for an Oracle Finance Business Systems Specialist who is also a part qualified accountant. You should have good technical expertise in Oracle modules including General Ledger, Sub-Ledgers, Consolidation (FCCS), Planning (EPBCS), Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Allocations (PCMCS) and Data Management (MDM).

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, maintain, support and enhance Oracle ERP applications.
2. Gathering requirements from users and detailing both process and technical requirements to translate end-user requirements into finished and working Oracle Applications Design.
3. Create, maintain and manage documentation for all Oracle Implementation, support initiatives and change requests.
4. Support the management of Oracle tools in the Finance function; including form updates, UAT, process development and documentation, standard report development, chart of account maintenance, etc.
5. Support the EPBCS based Forecast, Budget, and Long Range Plan Processes from a systems perspective.
6. Support the FCCS group consolidation process.
7. Support working day timetable processes.
8. Establish best practices and support user community training on Oracle Report development and Smartview.
9. Perform data cleansing and data auditing as necessary to ensure data quality.
10. Maintain and monitor change/ticket requests.
11. Create, maintain and monitor analysis of system performance, hierarchy’s and current processes with the focus being on improvement of end user experience.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience required:

1. Strong technical knowledge of Oracle Cloud Solutions.
2. Fully or part qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) with ideally 3 years experience. Those with more, or less years experience, but with the right level of knowledge will naturally be considered.
3. Technical expertise in Oracle modules including General Ledger, Sub-Ledgers, Consolidation (FCCS), Planning (EPBCS), Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Allocations (PCMCS) and Data Management (MDM).
4. Extensive experience in systems administration and support, preferably within a financial services sector.
5. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
6. Strong control mindset and experience.
