We now have an exciting opportunity for a Technology & Change Cost Finance Business Partner to join our Technology & Change team.

The Role
This pivotal role will provide best-in-class cost analysis, reporting and planning, with a focus on Technology & Change costs and benefits. You'll deliver timely, accurate and insightful information to key stakeholders and Directors, helping shape strategic decisions and drive EBITDA improvements. Acting as a trusted business partner, you'll work closely with the controllership team to ensure a robust and auditable month/year-end process, as well as support the wider business in identifying performance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support budgeting, planning, and monthly forecasting for Technology & Change costs, including FTE, staff, non-staff and project costs.
  • Produce high-quality month-end and forecast reporting with clear, concise commentary.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and Directors across MSG Distribution.
  • Identify and investigate cost performance issues, preparing insightful ad hoc analysis.
  • Partner with the Controllership team on month-end results, journals, accruals, capex and exceptional cost reviews.
  • Work with Technology & Change management to identify EBITDA improvements, support business cases, and track delivery.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and relevant analysis to underpin decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, driving accountability and identifying opportunities for added value.
  • Deliver accurate financial performance reporting to the Board, ExCo, Group, and internal customers.
About You
We're looking for a motivated, qualified accountant who thrives on delivering high-quality insights and partnering with the business.

Essential skills and experience:
  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability; able to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Confident business partner with the ability to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
  • High integrity and credibility with senior management.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and excellent follow-up.
Desirable:
  • Experience in business partnering or cost planning, ideally in a Technology & Change environment.
  • Degree qualified.
