Role: Financial Business Partner SC or DV

Location: Aldermaston, Reading (1-3 days/week on site)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £31.79/hr (Umbrella) MAX

Duration: 12 Months

Security Clearance: SC

The Role:

  • Financial skills are ideal, but tech can be taught
  • Qualification not necessary but a decent understanding is required
  • Management/Leadership experience
Finance Business Partner

A member of the Finance Business Partnering team, responsible for supporting the business through financial information.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Ensuring data quality and consistency through procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Supporting forecast and budget preparation, monitoring, and control, including change management.
  • System interrogation and financial performance measurement of actual expenditure.
  • Providing input to cost reports, including trend analysis and early warnings.
  • Maintaining high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality; being a great team player.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Variance analysis and cost monitoring across financial measures and expense categories, with narrative input for impact and recovery statements.
  • Building effective stakeholder engagement and maintaining relationships with budget holders and stakeholders.
  • Providing reports and information at appropriate meetings.
  • Supporting business activities with clear financial data and evidence.
  • Contributing to business case financials.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for service quality improvement.
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing and team support.
  • Supporting development of Cost Breakdown Structures and other change initiatives.
  • Assisting with cost studies and benchmarking data.
