Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join Stoke-on-Trent Council on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Finance Business Partner and provide financial support, planning and monitoring to help achieve the Council’s targets.

Experience in accounting, finance or financial business partnering.
Professional qualification required.
Experience in financial monitoring, forecasting and budget management.
Experience using SAP or similar financial management systems.
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support financial monitoring, reporting and budget management.
Assist with financial forecasting and planning.
Support the identification and delivery of savings.
Use SAP and other financial systems to manage and analyse financial information.
Work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and relevant stakeholders to support effective financial management.
