Job description

To be responsible for financial budget setting, monitoring and forecasting, to manage financial performance effectively, providing accurate and timely management accounts.

To support production of statutory accounts and maintenance of the chart of accounts and financial systems to ensure they maximise efficiency and effectiveness through all our activities.

To work in collaboration with budget holders, delivering a high quality, trusted finance business partnering services and develop close working relationships with budget holders providing accurate and timely information, support and guidance, balanced with professional challenge to ensure integrity and transparency of financial performance

To identify and highlight risks and opportunities in a timely manner and drive value for money through the organisation's decision making to ensure the organisation remains compliant with all legislative and regulatory financial requirements and internal policies, underpinned by a robust framework of financial controls.

To manage and motivate direct reports to deliver excellent customer services standards in financial management, reporting and business partnering, maximising the use of the organisations financial systems and processes to drive efficiency and automation.

To support the delivery of the organisation, the Group's Corporate Plan, and the strategies that underpin the 'People', 'Place' and 'Performance' priorities, ensuring that the Group is able to continue to be a financially strong and well governed business, with a robust and viable financial plan, supported by a motivated and skilled finance team, where the culture reflects the values of the business putting customer experience (internal and external) at the heart of service delivery.

To deputise for the Finance Manager - Reporting & Operations as required.
