Finance Business Partner – Pricing

We are working with one of the largest group procurement organisations in the UK. They are looking for an influential and high-profile Business Partner to oversee one of their biggest contracts. This role is pivotal in supporting the individual business needs to drive profitability and ensure contract governance is met.

A key aspect of the role will be focusing on understanding the contract specifics and working with the team to drive profitability with your knowledge of finance pricing movements and systems.

We are seeking a finance professional with proven skills of working to tight timelines, who thinks commercially and can provide insight and options from raw data to end-results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering with a Sector of the business ensuring strong data-led decision-making, managing pricing models, and providing commercial opportunities and solutions.
  • Provide Pricing support to develop, influence, and execute the overall contract.
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Pricing, Procurement, and Sector teams.
  • Work with the wider finance team to develop KPIs and ensure teams focus on metrics that drive profitability.
  • Manage, track, and identify opportunities in current and proposed pricing of products/menus and switches.
  • Overall responsibility for forecasting and governance of contract pricing adherence, highlighting and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Calculate and manage financial risks and opportunities from volumetric and other contract mechanisms.
  • Own the price file results and report performance against audit requirements.
  • Manage monthly/quarterly price updates ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Prepare and review monthly management reports, including product analysis and performance reporting.
  • Prepare monthly business review packs and present at sector/client meetings.
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Support operators at business head offices as needed.

The ideal candidate

  • Experienced commercial analyst with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficient in developing and managing complex spreadsheets
  • Proven track record in enhancing business performance and value
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Skilled in concise data analysis and presentation
  • Good knowledge of SAP and data systems
  • Experience in procurement or food & non-food service pricing organizations
  • Highly numerate and analytical with strong attention to detail
