About the role

We're looking for you to join the Boots UK Finance team as Finance Manager – Pharmacy, as part of the Pharmacy Business partnering team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our pharmacy finance team, supporting the strategy of the pharmacy Dispensing (items) business.

You will support our Pharmacy Dispensing team, reporting to the Director of Healthcare, and will work with our FP&A and Financial Control teams. You will have direct relationships with the director of Prescription services and Heads of Core and care Prescription services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overall financial management on understanding the trends and drivers affecting on performance across Dispensing.
  • Supporting the heads of prescription services and their teams with understanding their performance, and analysis to inform future commercial decisions.
  • Brings insight, challenge, and influence across areas of responsibility including bringing business/market perspective.
  • To hold the Pharmacy leadership team to account to meet their in-year financial commitments, budget and 3YP whilst maintaining partner relationships.
  • Engage with the wider BUK Finance team and ensuring agreement on initiative valuations and reporting methodologies.
  • Working with our FP&A and Financial Control teams to ensure rigorous financial planning processes (in year performance, budget, 3YP)
  • Reviewing and approval of business/investment/program decisions
  • Provide support of TM1 for future Pharmacy reporting.
  • Provide adhoc analysis across Pharmacy where required.
What you’ll need to have

These are the essential experience needed to succeed in this role.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous finance manager experience with strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill, ability to communicate effectively, with strong relationship-building skills, to foster a collaborative culture and positively influence business performance.
  • A strong team player, with the ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Highly analytical with experience in reporting and reviewing the quality and accuracy of data.
  • The ability to identify issues and drive actions through to conclusion.
  • Excellent excel and SAP BW skills

  • Previous experience of working in a business partnering role
