Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a temporary maternity cover, based at the A30 Business Park, Okehampton. You will work within a small finance team across our 19 schools and associated settings to support budgeting and financial planning.

You will prepare budgets, monitor expenditure, and advise Principals, budget holders and Trustees on financial implications of developments, ensuring robust financial management across the Trust.

Qualificações

• Experience budgeting and financial planning for multiple sites or schools.
• Ability to produce timely financial reports for leaders and trustees.
• Strong communication with Principals and budget holders.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare budgets with the finance team for the Trust's schools.
• Oversee school financial records held on PSF and ensure accuracy.
• Advise Principals, budget holders and Trustees on financial implications of developments and proposals.
• Monitor expenditure against budget and report variances to the Finance Business Manager.

An exciting opportunity to work as a finance business partner on a temporary basis during maternity cover alongside the finance team within the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust. This role is working in a small team based at the A30 Business Centre, Okehampton.

Our Trust comprises of 19 schools, 3 Colleges, 15 Primaries, and one All Through SEMH Special school. Established in 2018. We are situated in beautiful Devon on the out the outskirts of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. The schools vary in size and are all unique. Our schools are a large part of their local communities, and we value those relationships with families and locals.

The role will be based at the A30 Business Park, Okehampton, but it is expected there will be occasional travel to other Trust educational settings and offices.

About the role:

• To prepare budgets with team.
• Be responsible for the various school financial records held on PSF.
• To advise Principals, budget holders and the Trustees of financial implications of developments, proposal etc by preparing costing and obtaining estimates.
• To oversee and monitor expenditure against budget and advise the Finance Business Manager of any variation from budget.

The successful candidate will be required to come to DMAT Central Offices to complete mandatory training.

Training Details:

Location: Central Head Office, A30 Business Park, Okehampton, EX20 1BG

Purpose: To provide comprehensive training on company policies, procedures, and systems necessary for successful integration into the role.

Training Schedule: Daily sessions from 9am to 4pm, with breaks provided.
