A leading local government organization is seeking a qualified Finance Business Partner to deliver financial advice and support. In this permanent role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to budgeting decisions, financial analysis, and service improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a CCAB or CIMA qualification and a solid background in local government finance, ensuring proactive and customer-focused solutions.
A permanent opportunity has arisen for a qualified CCAB accountant to join this local government organisation as a Finance Business Partner. Reporting into the Head of Finance, your role will be to provide robust financial advice to senior stakeholders whilst delivering financial support, advice and guidance to the relevant service area. You will also be required to undertake sensitivity analysis, reviewing and challenging budget decisions, options appraisals, costing exercises, as well as lead on the detailed calculations underpinning any new funding and grants requests.
As part of the role you will also be required to build and maintain effective relationships with senior officers across the organisation in order to develop, improve and provide a proactive, flexible, customer focused service solutions.
To be considered for the role, you will need to be a CCAB or CIMA qualified or studier and actively studying with significant accountancy experience in a similar role. You will also need to have a good knowledge and understanding of local government finance, budgeting and accounting, and experience in providing high level advice, support and challenge on a variety of complex financial and service issues .
The role is permanent with up to 2 days a week in the office. The salary range for the role is 43,983 to 55,692.
