A health service in England is looking for a Finance Business Partner to manage capital financial operations and support strategic initiatives. The role requires expertise in capital accounting and collaboration with various departments to ensure successful delivery of capital programmes. Job summary
This is a newly created additional one year fixed term post, for an additional Finance Business Partner to join our capital team. This year EPUT has been successful in attracting additional capital funding of over £18m, including funding for improvements to our Estates infrastructure, funding to support estate new pathways for our Mental Health patients, as well as this being a key year in the implementation of our new Unified Electronic Patient Record Programme (UEPR). The Trust also approved it's Estates Strategy in November 2024, and is therefore, building an exciting programme of work, and capital developments to support the delivery of this strategy.
We are looking for an individual with experience of working in capital accounting to join the team, specifically delivering support to these new additional monies. The successful candidate will work closely with Estates, Digital and clinical budget holders to support the delivery of the programme.
Main duties of the jobEPUT is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partner - Capital Accountant to join the Finance Directorate. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the Trust's capital financial operations and contribute to modernising healthcare delivery.
As Finance Business Partner for Capital, you will support the Head of Finance in developing and implementing capital strategies and programmes that align with national policies and improve Trust performance. Working closely with budget holders, you will help deliver the Trust's capital programmes.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate asset classification, depreciation, disposals, and lease management, with hands-on experience in fixed asset accounting software essential. You will provide technical expertise on asset capitalisation and oversee robust general ledger management.
You will also lead capital month-end reporting, delivering timely and accurate reports, and manage internal and external reporting of capital financials. Your strong analytical skills will be crucial in optimising capital investments.
As part of a three member capital finance reporting team, you will ensure the team meet it's reporting deadlines.
