Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Finance Business Partner to support service leads with financial decision making. You will report to the Senior Finance Business Partner, contribute to month-end close and budget setting, and build trusted relationships with divisional and clinical managers to keep costs within budget.

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, activity planning, management accounting, and developing cost improvement plans in partnership

Qualifications

• Produce monthly financial reporting packs and performance stories for budget holders.
• Carry out management accounting tasks including month-end close and accruals.
• Lead budget holder meetings with training and expert analysis on cost variances.
• Assist in developing business cases and cost improvement plans for value delivery.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly financial reporting packs showing performance, activity and contractual targets.
• Lead month-end close activities (journals, accruals).- Lead meetings with budget holders and provide analysis and advice.
• Assist in business case development and process improvement initiatives.
