Sense in Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team. This hybrid role focuses on management accounting and providing financial insight to support decision-making across engagement and fundraising teams.

You will report to the Finance Business Partner and help deliver accurate management information, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. The role is full-time, hybrid, with 2 days per week from our Birmingham office.

Qualifications

• Experience budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting across multiple cost centres.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles and accounting standards.
• Experience using computerised finance systems (Infor SunSystems or similar).

Responsabilités

• Assist in monthly management accounts preparation including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Contribute to annual budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for multiple cost centres.
• Analyse financial performance, investigate variances and provide clear commentary.
• Reconcile information between accounting systems, CRM and income sources.
• Assist with Gift Aid claims preparation and submission.
• Prepare financial reports for donor-funded projects and fundraising activities.
• Support the annual audit process and maintain accurate records and controls.
• Collaborate with budget holders and non-finance colleagues to provide financial guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.
