We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner Adult Social Care (ASC) to join our public sector client on an initial 5‑month contract paying up to £553 per day, inside IR35.

This role offers hybrid working with flexibility to attend the office as required.

Overview

You will be part of the Finance Directorate working within the Operational Finance / ASC team and will report to the Head of Finance. You will provide high‑quality financial direction, support and guidance across Adult Social Care, ensuring effective management of budgets and sound financial planning.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Adult Social Care business through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and identifying savings opportunities.
  • Oversee financial performance against a net budget of £130 million, including £90 million in ASC placements and a £20 million Public Health Grant.
  • Translate complex financial information for non‑financial stakeholders and influence senior managers to drive accountability.
  • Provide robust financial challenge to ensure effective decision‑making and value for money.
  • Assist in the development of long‑term strategic financial plans aligned with the Council’s medium‑term financial forecasts.
  • Lead and coordinate a small finance team (up to three direct reports).
