Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Finance Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role supports the FP&A team in financial planning and analysis, aligned with key deadlines and deliverables. You will collaborate with Finance colleagues and key non-finance stakeholders, such as budget holders and managers, to develop and deliver financial plans that meet the Club's needs and priorities.

What will you be doing?
  • Manage the monthly forecast process for relevant business areas, focusing on P&L, Cashflow, and ensuring financial sustainability, while communicating Opportunities and Risks.
  • Provide financial analysis and data to support the Director, FP&A, CFO, and the wider team, ensuring timely and accurate financial information to uphold the team's reputation.
  • Own business partnering for specific departments, supporting decision-making through insightful information and analysis.
  • Produce monthly reports for regular reporting packs, including updates for ExCo and other key reports for senior leadership.
  • Support the management of Capex Budget through business cases, forecasting, and budget processes, aiding senior approval of Capex spend.
  • Collaborate across FP&A and Finance departments to align goals and standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of financial frameworks and external trends, and pursue personal development aligned with best practices.
Who are we looking for?
  • Degree and professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the business area.
  • Attention to detail balanced with the ability to provide information swiftly for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proven implementer, persuasive, and assertive to drive improvements within FP&A.
  • Comfortable with change and capable of supporting delivery of information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with senior finance leadership.
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources and support recommendations.
