About the role...

As a Finance Business Partner, your role is to support the Senior Finance Business Partner in driving sustainable and profitable performance of the relevant business sector/contract. You will strive for constant improvement to raise standards in key decision areas, taking a forward-looking and commercial view to influence decisions. Work within the account to improve both short- and long-term forecasting for Profit and Loss accounts and cash.

This is a 12 Month FTC role based at our office in Chorley or Warrington, with hybrid working from home.

What will your day look like...

  1. Assist senior FBP with planning processes for the contract, including setting annual targets, budgets, and 5-year strategic plans.
  2. Identify areas of improvement in the contract through championing cost reduction and efficiencies.
  3. Facilitate weekly meetings to review the cash position, updating senior management and ensuring accurate forecasts.
  4. Support the delivery of targets through actionable plans and monthly improvement initiatives.
  5. Drive efficiency initiatives across the business.
  6. Support month-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate account delivery.
  7. Work with the commercial team to manage WIP and payment terms.
  8. Ensure transparency and good communication around the financial status of the contract.

About you...

Are you a results-driven finance professional with extensive experience in commercial finance and business partnering within complex, matrixed PLC organizations? Do you have a proven track record in the outsourced service industry, adept at managing long-term contract accounting, WIP, and applying IFRS 15 standards?

You should have strong knowledge of accounting practices, statutory regulations, and reporting requirements, including forecasting and budgeting. A commitment to developing teams and fostering growth is essential.
