Overview

Finance Business Partner (6-Month FTC) – Location: Oxford, on-site 5 days per week. Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6 months). Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (pro rata). Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven Finance Business Partner to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role will play a key part in delivering financial insight, supporting strategic decisions, and partnering with our Marketing and HR functions. You'll be based on-site 5 days a week, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive performance, manage forecasting, and support business cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Performance Reporting: Review and analyse monthly results. Collaborate with the Controllership team to identify required adjustments. Deliver clear, action-oriented financial commentary to stakeholders.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Lead planning and forecasting cycles for assigned departments. Ensure forecasts align with the annual operating plan and stakeholder expectations. Highlight risks, opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Quarterly Commercial Reviews: Prepare and present key financials and performance insights. Work with business leaders and senior management to drive commercial performance.
  • Business Case Support: Partner with stakeholders to build robust business cases. Provide financial modelling, investment appraisal, and scenario analysis.
  • Project Financial Management: Track and manage project cashflows. Identify financial risks and recommend actions to support successful delivery.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a strategic finance partner to Marketing and HR teams. Build strong relationships to support data-driven decisions and add value.
