Job summary

Tri Talent Resourcing Ltd in the Midlands is seeking a Finance Business Partner to partner with the regional leadership, lead monthly management accounts, forecasting and the annual budget for the region. You’ll sit close to operations, helping shape decisions on projects, budgets and performance.

The role requires ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification with 2–5 years’ PQE, strong business partnering, and commercial analytical skills.

Tri Talent is partnering with a well-established, project-led UK business to appoint a Finance Business Partner for its Midlands region. Part of a respected listed group, the business has a strong track record, a values-led culture and a clear growth agenda.

The role

This is a commercially focused role for a qualified accountant who wants to step out of pure reporting and become a trusted adviser to the regional leadership team. You’ll sit close to the operational business and help shape decisions on projects, budgets and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with the regional leadership team, giving clear, commercial finance insight
• Lead monthly management accounts, forecasting and the annual budget for the region
• Analyse project and contract performance, including margins, forecasts and cash
• Support investment appraisals and decisions on new opportunities
• Challenge and improve cost control, working capital and cash management
• Present financial performance clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Drive improvements to reporting, processes and controls

About you

• ACA qualified with 2–5 years’ PQE, or CIMA/ACCA qualified with comparable experience
• Strong business partnering skills: confident influencing and challenging senior operational leaders
• Commercially minded, with good analytical and modelling skills
• Experience in a project-based or contract-led environment is a real plus, but not essential
• Based in, or within commuting distance of, the Midlands
