• Performance & Insight: Understand key drivers of store performance across sales, profit, costs, productivity and operational measures, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending actions.
• Data & Analytics: Use financial and operational data to identify trends, outliers and root causes, developing analysis that improves business decisions.
• Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with Finance and Operations, translating complex analysis into simple, compelling messages and influencing action.
• AI & Automation: Champion practical use of AI, automation and new analytical tools to improve insight, simplify reporting and create capacity for higher-value Finance activity.
• Planning & Forecasting: Support budgets and forecasts, challenge assumptions and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Continuous Improvement: Simplify processes, improve performance reporting and share analytical best practice across the team.

About the role

Drive store performance through high-quality financial insight, data-led decision making and effective business partnering. Working closely with stakeholders across Stores and Finance, you'll bring together financial, operational and customer data to identify the key drivers of performance, uncover opportunities and risks, and translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping business decisions by providing timely insight and constructive challenge, helping stakeholders deliver sustainable improvements in performance. A key focus of the role will be enhancing the quality, pace and impact of insight across Stores Finance through more advanced analytical approaches and the increased use of AI, automation and data tools. By streamlining reporting and analysis, you’ll enable Finance teams to spend less time producing information and more time influencing decisions that improve outcomes for customers and the business.

• Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.

You will be responsible for

You will need

• Qualified ACCA/ ACA /CIMA or equivalent
• The ability to work in a fast-paced change led environment
• Strong analytical and financial capability, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable commercial insight.
• Commercially curious, with strong problem-solving, communication and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively with operational stakeholders.
• Experience using data to improve business performance is essential, alongside a strong appetite to adopt AI and emerging analytical technologies.
