We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our team. The role offers flexible working under a hybrid model, combining office and home-based work. The position can be based in our Welwyn office, with consideration given to other locations such as London, Cambridge, Kent, Birmingham, and Manchester. The role will involve travel to various sites as required.

Key activities

  • Manage monthly project financial results, including variance analysis against forecasts, understanding project expenditure, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure accounting compliance with Equans policies and IFRS standards.
  • Produce and analyze key performance indicators across all business areas.
  • Notify managers of financial trends and collaborate on strategies to meet company targets.
  • Support budgetary control and assist project teams in maintaining accurate cost models and risk registers.
  • Review financial models for integrity and reconcile with SAP, challenging assumptions when necessary.
  • Participate in project reviews and provide accurate forecasts based on input from relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a business partner to identify and mitigate risks early.
  • Conduct financial reviews at project sites to ensure adherence to procedures and perform audits as needed.
  • Oversee contractual obligations related to financial and operational audits.
  • Prepare documentation for year-end statutory audits.
  • Qualifications: CIMA/ACCA part or fully qualified; degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Background in construction or infrastructure is desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to site locations.
  • Strong financial diligence, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel (intermediate level).
  • Full driving license required.
