What's a typical day for the Finance Business Partner?

This is a pivotal role within our FP&A team, focused on partnering with key departments to report on their performance and deliver insights to the Executive team. The role involves identifying performance trends and providing in-depth analysis and strategic insights that align with our business objectives and budgets. You'll play a key part in supporting business cases and projects, using your business partnering skills to ensure financial validation. A core part of the role includes delivering insightful financial reporting, building strong relationships across the business to support informed decision-making, and identifying operational risks and opportunities. You'll also contribute to improving internal reporting processes and collaborate with stakeholders on business cases. Additionally, you'll support the delivery of weekly trade reporting, review variances, challenge budget holders, and provide ad-hoc support to the Head of FP&A.

You'll already have:

  • Relevant business partnering experience, with the ability to evidence relevant experience against several of the accountable areas listed above.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively to a wide group of stakeholders.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate large data sets into functional outputs.
  • Strong reporting skills, bringing the numbers to life and telling the story.
  • Time spent working in an industry role.
  • Not essential, but working knowledge of a high value, high churn asset base would be beneficial.
