This role will cover outer London, Reading, Oxford, Swindon, Southampton & Portsmouth, it supports hybrid working, with a requirement to attend operations sites on an ad-hoc basis.

About the Role

Reporting into the Head of Field Ops Finance South, you will deliver a highly professional and thorough framework of performance management, control, and productivity optimisation in your area.

You will also

  1. Use financial and business insights to influence and challenge the operations teams to deliver the required in-year performance.
  2. Evaluate whether agreed activities have delivered the expected outputs and provide transparency on the outcomes.
  3. Drive a performance management culture, undertaking productivity and benchmarking analysis.
  4. Provide technical guidance and appropriate consideration of risks and opportunities, taking an independent view of the need to escalate issues.
  5. Ensure there are robust control procedures in place.
  6. Actively participate in leadership meetings and national forums.

About You
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:

  1. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or relevant experience.
  2. A strong team focus, able to contribute effectively to a collaborative working environment.
  3. Ability to actively listen, analyse and advise in a challenging and supportive way that elicits buy-in.
  4. Resilient in challenging up and down in a supportive and collaborative manner.
  5. Able to move at pace, to identify and drive creative solutions and remove barriers where necessary.
  6. Impartial judgement and relevant information to give advice that can be relied upon.
  7. Fully understand the external and internal business drivers to deliver value.
