Finance Business Partner

Location: Preston

Ascent Recruitment is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading business near Preston in the search for a permanent Finance Business Partner.

This is an exciting opportunity offering full exposure to the P&L and Balance Sheet, senior stakeholder engagement, commercial projects, and value-adding financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and manage clear financial and management reporting, including variance and cost analysis.
• Support and challenge financial performance, identifying exceptions and driving improvements.
• Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and insight.
• Promote and improve financial processes to enhance operational performance.
• Contribute to robust forecasting, budgeting, and wider business planning.
• Partner with non-financial senior stakeholders to drive understanding and insight.
• Identify and assess risk in line with internal policies and controls.

Requirements:

• Part-qualified or finalist (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
• Proven experience in financial analysis and business partnering.
• Strong financial reporting skills and strong Excel skills.
• Resilient under pressure with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Highly organised with strong time management skills.
• Proactive, self-starter with a commercial approach.
